Client Testimonials

Smiling Tiger Business

Stephen, I would like to thank you for your huge effort over the last several years. The success of your Business Development Workshops has surpassed our expectations and the feedback from the attendees has been brilliant. The way you were able to move people ever so gently outside their comfort zone has been a pleasure to watch. More importantly is the improvement in productivity from this group has inspired others to do the same. Thanks again for the passion and determination in your presentations. I am sure that is why other franchisees have sourced your services on an individual basis.

Thank you so much for the experience you have provided our business, and more importantly our valuable clients. It is rare that we see a speaker deliver a powerful message and retain complete crowd attention. Your workshop was compelling, practical and inspiring. We have had an amazing response form our attendees, far outweighing all expectation and for this I am truly grateful. You were a delight to deal with professionally as well, from concept, to implementation to gentle suggestions for improvement; all of which I was more than happy to adopt. I really felt you cared for what we were trying to do. This, to me, was the most important ingredient of all. I cannot thank you enough for what you brought to our business, and I look forward to a long and beneficial relationship.

Stephen provided coordinated training sessions for our Sales, Production, Logistics and Technical staff at Hymix. Stephen’s workshops are amazing and one that our management team found thought-provoking and extremely inspiring. Stephen has also provided us with the tools/knowledge needed to understand the pathway to achieving our goals and made us aware of the clarity required making management decisions. Stephen’s presentations are very up to date with the needs of our business and we thank Stephen for his assistance now and in the future.

Jim Venn; Qld State Manager – Hymix (Concrete and Construction)

Stephen presented to our Statewide Mortgage Brokers in a relevant, compelling and passionate manner. It is with no doubt that we all walked away empowered with the skills and attitude needed to improve our businesses, personal lives and reach those achievements we most sincerely desire. Can’t wait to be involved with further education with Smiling Tiger.

Darren Turner; Smartline, Queensland State Manager

I must say the one thing I hate is another speaker getting in front of my guys and telling them happy thoughts will see them through. We have rolled them out for years to “motivate” and “inspire” which they do, for a short time. Stephen Dale is different, which is why we continue and will continue to work with him. He is not about the spin, he is about action and evidence. Lets do it, and prove it to ourselves – give ourselves evidence. His story, sessions and workshops are about change that can be measured and evidenced. Change that brings clarity, but can also be life changing to many. Even personally, every time I find myself doing something better, faster or improved, I hear Stephens voice: ”see I told you so”. Stephen, thanks for what your doing, you’re real, honest and you deliver!

Smiling Tiger Community

Stephen Dale, (also know as the Smiling Tiger!) presented another heartfelt conversation at Substation33, this time regarding depression and the ‘Battle of the Bottle.’ I have listened to and facilitated many conversations from Stephen. and again I had shivers down my spine and goosebumps. Stephen’s story telling and ability to engage with the wide and diverse community at Substation33 is obvious by our continual engagement. Thanks again Stephen.

As a Family Support Worker currently employed at CDS in Stanthorpe, I was amazed at the response to Steve’s workshop on resilience. I watched in awe as all some of our participants were totally engaged, including those who are often seen as our most problematic. Steve spoke in a language and with an attitude that was totally relevant to this diverse and very challenging audience. He made simple and memorable points and his use of language was very powerful, mixed with many humorous antidotes. There were many “Wows” at the end. The positive feedback we have received from those who attended (and others who wished they had) are asking if we are repeating his workshop. We are hoping to engage Steve again for a repeat workshop so many more people can hear his compelling message and attend his workshop.

John Mahoney, Manager, Community Development Services, Stanthorpe

Inviting Stephen Dale to speak at The Salvation Army Queensland’s “Just Men” Conference was one of the best decisions made by the JMC event planning team this year. This annual spiritual retreat attracts men from all walks of life who are at different stages in life’s journey. The team wanted the Saturday night session to inspire, motivate, uplift and challenge this diverse group of men. Stephen did not disappoint. His message of hope, resilience, healing and forgiveness resonated with our veterans, men in addiction recovery and group leaders. I highly recommend Stephen as a speaker for any group seeking inspiration in the face of adversity and trial.

Thank you Stephen for your willingness to share the University of Queensland speech pathology students from 2011 – 2015. Your lectures have provided the students with practical and professional considerations for working with people with diverse needs. The manner in which you shared your expertise was honest, engaging, and thought provoking. We are very appreciative of your contribution to the student’s learning within the cognitive communication disorders module. Many thanks.

Dr Tanya Rose & Dr Anna Copley, Speech Pathology dept, UQ

I really enjoyed listening to Stephen at the Toowoomba Aphasia Conference. His energy and strength provided genuine hope, as well as challenge. He was able to immediately connect with the people in the room, families, carers, students and particularly people who were working through their own pain and rehabilitation. He generously shared his personal struggle, the horror of the accident, frustration, anger and pain, as well as the driving commitment to getting his life back on his own terms. Stephen’s presentation was not a lecture, it was a conversation. He talks with us, not at us, and the response was evident. There was real warmth in the room and I believe that no one will forget his challenge.

Senator Claire Moore, Labor Senator for Queensland

Thank you, Steve. It was an incredible session today. The level of engagement was truly amazing. I could feel the intensity and complete focus. Holding that intense level of interest over two hours straight is a real credit to you. We work primarily with young men and women who suffer mental health challenges and disabilities. You challenge the status quo but what is equally important is you give people the tools to make significant change to their lives and business. I totally agree with the way you changed the session around to suit our needs. I was thinking along similar lines. I’ve also attached our feedback sheets for your information/use.

We have used Stephen on several occasions throughout the years with our Year 12 students and in particular those students who were sitting for the Queensland Core Skills (QCS) Test. His straight talking presentation about earning the right to be successful in life proved to be very inspiring and challenging. He was able to captivate their attention and relate to our students and their journey in life. His work was a valuable experience and will continue to be a factor in their future. I look forward to working with Stephen in the future as we develop further programs throughout the College.

Geoff Sippel, Senior School Principal Calamvale Community College.

Stephen spoke at our National Day of Action Against Bullying assembly and his story resounded with this student and many others, just like him, who have been victims of bullying. Steve has an amazing ability to connect with young people, he uses his life story as an example of the harm caused by bullying and he tells his story with simple eloquence. He held our 850 kids in rapt silence, taking in every word. I am hoping Steve will become a regular speaker at our anti-bullying events. The connections he made with my students are sure signs that he has much to offer my school.

Jude Fox, Principal, Flagstone State Community College

A huge number of USQ Staff attended Stephen’s thought provoking seminar. We all sat spell bound as he taught us all how to use willpower, determination and a ‘Spirit of Willingness’ to turn our lives around and achieve our goals, even the ‘impossible’ ones. Stephen runs a successful business and helps business groups and students so if you were unable to attend this session and would like more information on Stephen, wish to purchase his book or are interested in rebooking him to come and speak to your department please contact me.

Mr Dale was invited to our school to address our students at our annual awards night. His thirty minute conversation with our school community was very informal and was pitched exactly at our students. I have had positive feedback from many students, parents, staff and community members about Mr Dale’s address. We also secured him to talk to a group of students at our school. He was able to speak to these students with ease and was very inspirational to our students to show that self-belief and the ability to create and live your desired life is very important. I have no hesitation in recommending Stephen Dale for use in a school setting. His outlook on life is refreshing and something that is useful for us all.

John Bray, Principal, Tara State High School

Steve was the college’s Keynote speaker for the Year 10 Careers Conference at Clair Vaux MacKillop College. He explored the consequences of making poor choices within his own personal circumstances and life. He was able to effectively coach his experiences in terms and language with which students could connect and was an engaging speaker who held the attention and interest of his audience. In particular, I appreciated Steve’s ability to work into his presentation the purpose and direction of the conference from our previous meeting and in this way, proved to be a most suitable choice to open the conference. I would happily recommend Steve Dale to you.

Paul Mead, Assistant Principal – Curriculum Clair Vaux MacKillop College
